It was a beautiful day at Shoreline Aquatic Park in Long Beach, CA on Saturday, June 25, 2016! Not just because of the weather and magnificent ocean view but also because of the hundreds of people that attended the Zero Prostate Cancer Run/Walk to get the word out about prostate cancer treatment, research and prevention.
“It was really great to be a part of a grass-roots movement to get the word out about prostate cancer treatment, research and prevention. This is a national charity, but they are growing in awareness slowly. I think next year will be exponentially bigger! We hope to get many of our patients and their families involved next year,” says Kim Pugach.
Dr. Robert Pugach, Medical Director of Western States HIFU and Pacific Coast Urology Medical Center, has devoted a large part of his career to diagnosing and treating men with prostate cancer. Dr. Pugach is a strong advocate of prostate cancer early detection and educating men on advanced minimally invasive treatments that maintain their quality of life.
“The Zero Prostate Cancer run is overwhelmingly inspiring. It was a wonderful experience to see so many runners out encouraging one another. I look forward to the many years ahead as we continue to be a part of such a great cause,” says Evans Tran, PA.
